The tools on ToolNest are provided for general, everyday file-conversion purposes — resizing an image, merging a couple of PDFs, pulling audio out of a video, and similar tasks. This page sets out a few honest limitations worth knowing before you rely on them for anything important.
Conversion accuracy
File conversion is a “best effort” process by nature. Some tools on this site are explicitly limited in scope and say so on their own page — for example, our PDF to Excel and PDF to Word tools extract text based on its position on the page rather than performing full layout reconstruction or OCR, so results on complex or scanned documents will vary. Always check the converted file before using it for something important, and keep your original file until you’ve confirmed the result is correct.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site — including the password generator’s security notes or any other tips shared in a tool’s article — constitutes professional, legal, financial, or security advice. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for decisions that matter.
Third-party technology
Several tools on this site rely on open-source libraries running inside your browser (for example, for PDF handling, audio/video encoding, and spreadsheet generation). We select and test these carefully, but we don’t control their underlying behavior on every possible file or browser combination, and results can occasionally vary between browsers.
External links
Where we link to external sites (for instance, in our Privacy Policy’s links to advertising opt-out pages), we aren’t responsible for the content or practices of those third-party sites.
No guarantee of availability
We aim to keep every tool available and working, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may update, change, or occasionally retire a tool.
